Dr. Héctor J. Sarabia
Dr. Sarabia was born in Mazatlan, Mexico.  He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from National University of Mexico UNAM in 1970.  Subsequently, he completed his degree in orthodontics under Director Professor Dr. Erick Hausser at Univeritäts - Krankenhaus - Eppendorf in Hamburg, Germany.

Dr. Sarabia taught at the Orthodontics  School of Dentistry, National University of Mexico UNAM, and was Professor and Director in Dentofacial Orthopeadics Diplomat at the University of Morelia Michoacan UMSNH.  He is currently Professor and Director in Dentofacial Orthopeadics Diplomat at the University of Chihuachua UACH, and maintains a private practice.

Dr. Sarabia is President of the Mexican Association in Dentofacial Ortopeadics AMOM, and Director of the Mexican Board in Dentofacial Ortopeadics CoMOM.  He is published in both German and Spanish orthodontic journals, and has authored several abstracts of International Congress participations in Orthodontics.  He has lectured as guest speaker and provided Table Clinics in many international congresses and profession meetings, presenting in Spanish, English and German.

Dr. Celestino Nobrega

Dr Nobrega completed his general dental training at Sao Paulo State University, Brazil in 1984, followed by a certificate in Orthodontics in Rio de Janeiro State from the Brazilian Dental Association. He received his Master of Dental Science degree in 1996, after publishing elucidating material about MRIs of TMJs, and completed the Roth-Williams course at Burlingame in 1997. Dr. Nobrega then began his role as educator and post-graduate Program Director at various academic associations in Brazil.

His search for innovative technologies led Dr Nobrega to Dr Elliot Moskowitz, who introduced him to NYU Ortho faculty. After learning that NYUCD was working closely with groups overseas, Dr Nobrega knew that he was moving in the right direction. Months later, he began to bring groups of his students and former students for customized one-week programs, resulting in a closer look and definitive contact with ISL mechanics, and their biological and mechanical details.

Dr Nobrega is currently leading a project of 19 biomechanical studies on the characteristics of the Interactive Self-Ligating system in his home country.
The research is based on friction and flexibility studies, as well as low intensity laser and vibration therapy during orthodontic treatment.
Dr. Christopher Cameron, Co-Chair

Dr. Cameron is a native of Toronto, Canada.  He received his Baccalaureate degree in Science from The University of Toronto, and further completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.  Subsequently, he attended the prestigious orthodontic program at The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he fulfilled the requirements for a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics under the direction of Dr. Lysle Johnston and Dr. James A. McNamara.

Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry awarded Dr. Cameron the distinguished Callahan Memorial Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement.

He is duly noted for receiving numerous Omicron Kappa Upsilon scholarship awards as well as election into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honors Society.  In addition, the AADPA and OTDPA recognized him for his Excellence in Practice Administration. 

Dr. Cameron has successfully published much of his research on rapid maxillary expansion in the American Journal of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics, the Angle Orthodontist, and the European Journal of Orthodontics. In recognition of his contribution to research he was awarded the Edward Hartley Angle Research Prize for the best scientific article, an honor granted only every other year by the Angle Society. 

Dr. Cameron currently maintains a private practice in orthodontics in Toronto, Canada, and is the Director of the Self-Ligation Orthopedic Technologies Foundation.
